What is an elopement? Intimate Wedding?
It’s a nontraditional wedding day custom-tailored to you two focused on experiences, connection, and intention. We use ‘intimate wedding’ and ‘elopement’ interchangeably, but most people classify elopements as having fewer than five guests and intimate weddings as having fewer than 50 guests.
There are no limitations when it comes to elopements and intimate weddings, so you can hand-select every aspect to fit your vision! For more information about elopements and intimate weddings, check out the blog post below.
Do you work with queer and diverse couples?
We're awkward in front of the camera. Will that show?
We promise, you are not alone. Most of our couples say this! We use natural prompts and activities to help you feel comfortable, so your photos reflect real connection, not stiff poses.
Throughout your adventure, we’ll be capturing candid moments of you interacting with each other or your families. If we do ask you to pose, we’ll provide super easy instructions (or demo poses for you) so you feel confident. Most often, prompts will encourage you to move and interact in a way that is fun and comfortable, allowing us to capture candid moments in ways we know looks good!
What happens if there is bad weather?
We plan for every scenario, from backup locations to adjusted timelines. During the planning process, we prepare you for all the possible weather challenges and create backup scenarios in case your top location choices become inaccessible. We monitor weather conditions days before elopements, taking on the stress for you and providing you with solutions in advance!
Generally, if the weather looks rainy but still safe to explore, we go for it! The beauty of getting married outdoors is Mother Nature’s unpredictability. We’ve been doing this for years and have shot in almost every weather condition (extreme storms, rain, snow, fog, crazy wind, etc.). Some of our all-time favorite elopement memories have happened amidst “bad weather”.
We also understand that not everyone is as stoked about less-than-ideal weather, so if you don’t want to fully embrace it, we’ll make adjustments to ensure you have a wedding day you love! If we need to adjust the timeline to avoid the worst of the weather or shift events to more sheltered locations, we will.

Bridget loves symmetry, photos that make couples look tiny against an epic backdrop, and raw emotion, while Ryan creates images with unique framing, landscapes, and storytelling. Together, we capture different perspectives of the same moments, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in your wedding day for years to come. Not only do we fully capture your wedding day, but we’re also here to help you throughout the entire planning process! We help with elopement planning by sending you epic locations, vendors, accommodation, activity ideas, and anything else you need to create your dream wedding day. On the day of, we’re here as more than just your photographers. This is your wedding day, and the last thing you want to feel is overwhelmed, anxious, or stressed. So we take on as much of the tough stuff as we can and are by your side if any unexpected issues arise.
Where are you based?
Travel is important to us and always has been, so we live pretty nomadically! We live half the year in Bend, Oregon surrounded by snowcapped volcanoes, lush forests, rivers, and desert landscapes, living out our ski bum dream life. In the summer, you can find us traveling for destination weddings and spending time with our families. And the fall is spent in Maine and New England, living in Acadia National Park surrounded by rocky cliffs, colorful foliage, and the best running trails in the world!
